Musicians, cooks, makers and admirers gather
Under the stars or in the garden kitchen, join us for an old-fashioned picking party and sing-a-long. Bring your instrument and take part in a guided jam session. This is a community celebration so please pack a picnic and invite friends & family along. Participate in a craft project while you are here. Are you a maker or grower? Bring your artisanal products and sell them from a table nestled into the garden (your vending space is free BUT samples & demonstrations are strongly encouraged). We'll play all genres of music although we lean towards Old-Time, Bluegrass, and Americana favorites. Players of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to attend. Music sheets are provided when helpful....check out the Searsport Shores Jam Book to get an overview of the kind of tunes that may be played at the Jam. Or just try out a few of the tunes at your campfire and then come on over to the jam session.
Anytime the weather is nice, the musicians will be on the bandstand and the audience on the grass. There are picnic benches for seating but plenty of room if you'd like to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket. We welcome you to pack a picnic and relax into an evening of old-time community fun. If the weather is questionable, we settle into the garden kitchen and covered porch for the evening. We are completely handicapped accessible.
Wednesday nights, 5-7 pm. No cost, everyone is welcome.
