Touchstones Workshop: September 9-13, 2026

Impressions in Silver

transform nature's textures into silver with Linda Facci

Silver has a remarkable ability to capture the smallest details—a leaf vein, the edge of a shell, the texture of a flower—and transform them into something lasting.

We'll begin with a quiet coddiwomple through the gardens and shoreline at Searsport Shores, gathering natural treasures that become both inspiration and tools for our work. Using silver metal clay, you'll learn to shape, texture, refine, and fire your own one-of-a-kind jewelry while discovering just how tactile and forgiving this remarkable material can be.

Alongside botanical impressions, you'll have access to Linda's collection of decorative molds and textures, allowing you to create pieces that reflect your own style. We'll also explore embedding stones directly into the clay before firing, adding color and sparkle to finished work.

To complete your project, you'll learn to silk-wrap a cord by hand, creating a beautiful necklace that brings together silver, fiber, and the natural world.

You'll leave with finished silver jewelry, a handcrafted silk necklace, and the confidence to continue exploring this versatile medium long after the retreat ends.

Class and Retreat Fee: $1090.00

Materials fee: $250 (to be paid at the start of class)

Linda Facci Instructor of Touchstones Workshop

Linda Facci is the founder and creative force behind Facci Designs, a fiber art studio rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Based in Woodstock, NY, Linda is a graphic designer by training and a maker by nature. Her work spans needle felting, branch weaving, large-scale fiber sculpture, embroidery, and jewelry, transforming simple and reclaimed materials into expressive, tactile works of art.

Inspired by nature, nostalgia, and the joy of making by hand, Linda’s distinctive style blends traditional techniques with playful experimentation. Her dedication to her craft and willingness to explore new directions have earned her a loyal following within the fiber arts community. After recently returning to her childhood love of embroidery and jewelry, Linda continues to evolve her practice—creating pieces that feel both whimsical and deeply intentional.

Through Facci Designs, Linda invites viewers and collectors alike to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with the beauty of handmade work.
